That may be hard to believe, but it's true. Research shows that parents are the single-most influential factor affecting kids and their performance. So, use your power wisely. Talk to your kids about what they're learning and what their goals are. Talk to teachers. Talk to school counselors. Talk to just about anyone who will give you the time of day. The best thing you can do for your kids is to support them and stay informed about their progress. In other words, be their advocate. The more you expect of your kids, the more they'll achieve.
